I went to a cinema in Finglas called the Casino when I was a young boy. I don’t remember any newsreels before the main film with Roy Rogers or Batman. Maybe because it only went quiet when the main event came on. Before that, you were just looking around you to see what was going on as it was a rough place and you might get a smack on the head of a gobstopper!
